The Health benefits of green plants and trees cannot be overemphasized and it is continuous proven that we need this organisms for our survival and they can also boost our health

A new study consisting of more than 108,000 across the US between a eight period has shown that women living in houses surrounded by a lot of vegetation and trees have a lower risk of death than those living in areas with scanty trees and vegetation, in order words an area less greenery.

The study found that these women living in the greenest surroundings had a 12 percent lower risk of death than those in the least green locations. The study also had more important findings, that women who had most vegetation around their had a significant 34 percent lower rate of respiratory disease-related death, while women living with lush vegetation had a 13 percent lower rate of cancer death than those with less greenery surrounding.

Although the study found links between living in greener areas and long life, but the study was designed for that result.

“We were surprised to observe such strong associations between increased exposure to greenness and lower [death] rates,” said Peter James, study author and  research associate at Harvard T.S. Chan School of Public Health, in Boston.

“We were even more surprised to find evidence that a large proportion of the benefit from high levels of vegetation seems to be connected with improved mental health,” he said in a school news release.

More benefits of living in green areas exist, which are better mental health through lower levels of depression, more chances of socializing, less exposure to air, noise pollution and more physical activity.

Although the study seemed to focus on women. Men can also benefit from the greens of life.
