Fact: You cannot catch Breast
Cancer or transfer it to someone else's body. Breast cancer is the
result of uncontrolled cell growth in your own body. However, you can
protect yourself by being aware of the risk factors and following on
early detection plan.
Myth: Your chances are better with the latest "state of the art" drug, even if it costs $10,000 a month
Fact: Cancer drugs fail 98 percent of the time! they are a waste of money
Myth: Cancer cells are powerful and hard to stop
Fact: Cancer cells are weak. Hit them with a blast of oxygen, and they die by the millions
Myth: You just have to accept the pain, nausea, and hair loss that go along with chemotherapy
Fact: if chemotherapy makes you sicker than you were to begin with, something is wrong, I have known thousands of patients who cured their cancer without misery
Myth: Cancer doctors tell you to use chemotherapy because they sincerely believe in it.
Fact: A McGill University Study showed that cancer doctors wouldn't undergo chemotherapy if they had cancer and wouldn't let their families do so, either
Myth: My Cancer doctor will tell me all about the most effective treatments
Fact: Your Cancer doctor could be hauled before the medical board for recommending anything other than surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
Myth: A breast cancer diagnosis is a death sentence
Fact: Most women survive breast cancer and can live long lives. Even women who are living with breast cancer can live a long time. Plus, new promising treatment breakthroughs are becoming available each day - so there are many reasons to be hopeful about the future.
