3 Reasons Why You Must Do Planks Every Morning

Walk up to a guy/girl with a great body posture and rock hard abs and ask him/her what planks are and you will surely get an education. In fact, planks are so important for those who are serious in their fitness routine, that you can't get the maximum fitness benefits without doing them (that is what I believe). 

When it comes to rock hard abs, looking good, tolerance, improved mental capability, and a great body posture planks have it all, and best of all, it only requires a little effort. 

Personally, planks are one of my favorite bodybuilding exercises and a day without them is like a day without food. I decided to write this detailed article to share the benefits of this exercise with all of my readers.

Planks are one of the few exercises which work many areas of your body, your biceps, neck, arm muscles, shoulder muscles and butt muscles are all been developed during one session of plank exercise. 

Now, I am going to go into a lot of details here and I hope you follow me all the way, this is more than just a summary.

1. To Improve Your Posture 

Having a good body posture that emits confidence is something that is hard to develop. With planking exercises, you will greatly impact and improve your posture which will provide a lot of other benefits rather than just boosting your confidence levels

  1. A good posture helps your bones and joints stay in the correct alignment which helps you stay healthy.
  2. A good posture helps reduces back pain by ensuring your spine or back is in the right position (that is if you will ever suffer from back pain).

Plank exercises just like most exercises are an excellent means of improving your overall moods. Planks help stretch out muscle groups that contribute to tension and stress in your body giving you a better feeling than before. 

Plank exercises are great for those who sit in the office all day long. Rather, than taking a simple stretch, get down and plank it out for a better feeling. 

Like I said before planks help build mental endurance, patience and tolerance. Plank exercises are not a piece of cake as they require a lot of mental endurance to go through and if you are able to scale through, your tolerance levels go way up. 

3. To Improves Core Performance

Want rock hard abs? Well, planks give just that. 

Your core muscles are a series of muscles in your midsection and are used in most forms of movement. These muscles also help your abdominal muscles which are important for supporting your back and spinal column.

The physical evidence of those who develop their core muscles is simply rock hard abs. 

Planks engage all major core muscle, strengthening and developing them over time. If you keep developing and strengthening these muscles you will notice these changes:

Transverse abdominis: increased ability to lift heavier weights.

Rectus adbominis: improved sports performance, particularly with jumping. This muscle group is also responsible for giving you the renowned six-pack look.

Oblique muscles: improved capacity for stable side-bending and waist-twisting

Glutes: a supported back and a strong, shapely booty.
