2 Reasons You Should Stop Having Oral S£x Right Now

In 2009, several studies indicated that about 75% of women may never reach orgasm (the big O) from intercourse alone, in 2016, it went as high as 80%. Also, I am yet to meet a man who would say "no" to a getting a good head but let's go into the health perspective of all this, you might want to stop having oral s£x after reading this.

Now, I use condoms for mainly two reasons, in fact, we all use condoms for two reasons, to prevent STDs and pregnancy. When it comes to oral s£x, all those safety precautions are thrown out the window and everything happens raw (most of us never thought of that).

So here are 2 reasons why you should stop having oral s£x right now.

1. If You Don't Know About Your Partner's Status

Surprisingly, many people don't their partner's status and some believe asking your partner about his/her status could be very disrespectful and show lack of trust (every relationship needs trust to survive right?).

Well, I totally agree that asking your partner about his/her status or doing a test to confirm the status might not be the best but we all know the case of Toke Makinwa who got an STD from her ex-husband (she even wrote a 100-page book about it).

Since you don't use condoms to prevent the spread of STDs during oral s£x and you cannot say 100% that your partner does not have an STD, no matter who he/she is, it is best you know your partner's s£xual status.

Oral s£x leads to transfer of many STDs, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, herpes, human papillomavirus (HPV), HIV you name it.

These STDs affect mostly the mouth and throat when gotten through oral s£x, but there are other possiblities that it may affect your rectum, urinary tract and genital area.

2. You Might Get Cancer

What?

Yes, there are links between throat cancer and oral s£x according to American Cancer Society.

Specifically, it all boils down to STDs once more..

You can't actually get cancer from performing oral s£x, but from a very common STD, the human papillomavirus (HPV).

So should you just give up on oral s£x.

Well, as your favorite health blogger, I wouldn't advice you to do that.

There are several ways to protect yourself from STDs and cancer transferred by oral s£x.

  • Use a condom
  • Use a dental clam
  • Know your status (very obvious right?)

So there you have it..

Prevention is always better and cheaper than cure.
