6 Exercises That Will Get Rid Of Fat Arms Almost Immediately

Fat flabby arms are quite unattractive especially for those who work out every part of their body, but those fat arms seem to not feel the heat. 

You might have seen people with leaner body structures but with unusual fat arms. Fat arms tend to be more common with women than men, but that does not mean many men do not suffer from the issue.

I have never had fat arms before because I always go for full body workouts and leave no muscle untrained.

I will list some reasons for fat arms and exercises that will definitely help you burn that fat and tone your arm muscles. 

So, what causes arm fat?

Just like belly fat which is due to the accumulation of excess fat around the stomach area, arm fat is caused due to the accumulation of fat in the arm area. Arm fat remains evident in many people no matter how hard they exercise because it is quite difficult to burn.

Other reasons for arm fat include
  • Growing age
  • Decreased metabolism (you burn fewer calories which leads to a buildup of excess fat).
  • Lack of physical activities e.g exercise
  • Lack of consistency in exercises.
  • Doing the wrong exercises (for those who find it hard to lose arm fat no matter how hard they try).

6 Effective Exercises That Help Lose Arm Fat

I once said that you can't target specific body parts to burn fat, but coupled with your everyday cardio you can use these following exercises to burn fat off your arms.

1. Tricep Dips

This exercise targets the accumulated fat in the triceps, the back portion of the arms (which is the area most prone to fat deposition).

This exercise also tones your arms to give you a sculpted look.

You can perform this exercise at home with the help of a 2 feet height chair or desk.

2. Planks

Plank is a great exercise for targeting your core and your arm muscles, just like push-ups your body weight has to be balanced by your arms which makes a great exercise for burning the accumulated fat in the arms.

There are many variations of planks which all work just as good.

You can start with the elbow plank and then to the full body plank.

3. Push Ups

Push up is one of those key exercises that work your upper body. This exercise like the first one wouldn't need any equipment. This exercise targets your pectoral and triceps muscles by balancing your body weight on your arms.

4. Counter Push-ups

This exercise works almost the same as the normal push-up exercise and targets the same muscles. But, the only change in this exercise is that you need either a table or a platform to perform it.

5. Scissors

Scissors is an effective cardio exercise which not only burns arm fat but also improves flexibility. Remember to perform it in the right form for the fastest results.

6. Dumbbell Muscle Snatch

This is the first time I would be talking about exercises that need training equipment because I normally tend to focus on exercises you can do at home.

But the Dumbbell snatch is worth your time. You can try out the single-arm dumbbell muscle snatch or the double-arm dumbbell muscles snatch.You can also try it with Kettlebell.

Note: The heavier the dumbells, the faster you will burn that fat.

How to perform

When you couple these 6 exercises with your normal cardio workout, it will surely help burn that fat and tone your arm muscles.
