6 Healthy Ways to Gain Weight Really Fast

When it comes to gaining weight, it can be just as much as doing the opposite of losing weight. Weight gain and loss are affected by calorie intake and use, changes in calorie intake and use could either lead to a weight gain or loss. 

Still, it's not that simple as some people find it hard to gain or lose weight even after making diet changes, others who lose weight can't seem to keep the weight off as it keeps coming back. This is because there is more to weight loss or gain than just adding up calories. You can be eating so much just to gain weight, but your metabolic rate would be way up, and you end up looking the same. 

With all that being said here are 6 healthy ways to gain weight fast. 

1. Eat More Than You Burn 

If you want to gain weight then you need to consume more calories than you burn for the day. Calories provide energy which we use to do work, the harder you work, the more calories you use, the lesser you work the more calories you store which leads to weight gain. 

This is why I advise those trying to lose weight to increase their physical activity to help burn more calories. 

By eating more calories than you burn, your body stores up those excess calories as fat, (in biology it's simply your body converting glucose to glycogen in the liver for later use).

2. Eat More Calorie-dense Meals

To gain weight you need to practically take in more calories, but that does not mean you need to eat more food, you can simply start focusing on calorie dense meals like EBA/soup, starch, rice etc. 

These meals due to their high carbohydrate content contain more calories and eating more of them could certainly help you gain weight. 

3. Eat Often

Quite simple, to gain weight you need to increase your calories intake,  just like taking food high in calorie content you should also eat often. 5 - 6 times per day could certainly help you gain the needed weight. 

Remember it's not just any food, but calorie-dense meals. 

4. Drink Less Water 

In fact, don't drink water at all before meals and drink less water during meals. I normally advise those trying to lose weight to drink enough water before, during and after meals to make them full quickly, but if you are trying to lose weight you should just do the opposite. 

Drinking water before meals makes you get full quickly and makes you eat less. Drinking no water at all is just what you need. It allows you to take in more calories (food).

5. Eat Heavy Meals At Night 

Want to lose weight, then make sure your dinner is something light because your body stores up the calories from the meal if you want to gain weight all you have to do is the opposite and allow your body to stores those calories which lead to weight gain. 

So the heavier your dinner is, the more calories you get to store as fat.

6. Reduce Physical Activity

This would be just great for those lazy people out there lol. By reducing physical activity you are allowing your body to store more calories. By physical activity, I mean your everyday activity. Exercise less, sleep more, rest often. etc

These habits should help you gain weight really fast.
