Check Out This Pushup Variation That Gave Me Rock-Hard Abs

Rather than sticking to your normal push up exercises you can decide to spice things up a bit by mixing it with different exercises. This will not only give you results faster but make your workout more fun.

Women's Health's FitGif Friday is a weekly segment dedicated to bringing out fun and challenging new moves.

The Pushup is a great exercise for working the upper body (your chest and arms especially). This pushup variation also works your stomach muscles and including your upper body.

Plus, keeping one leg in the air challenges your endurance and improve balance.

I tried out just a few reps of this exercise to check out how great it is and it was superb and would work great especially for those who want to take their workout to the next level.

Inverted hip extension with pushup

How to: Start in plank position with legs extended or knees down on the floor. Extend your left leg diagonally toward the ceiling, then bend your elbows by your sides, lowering your chest to the floor. Push back up and press back, lifting your hips into a three-legged dog. Do eight to 10 reps; switch sides and repeat.

Note: The How To Exercise For Weight Loss Free Ebook will be out to verified subscribers only on Friday.

So there you have it.
