Here Is How Your Armpit Hair Is Giving You Body Odour




Body odor is growing concern among men due to the fact that most guys don't give a damn about their hygiene, unlike the ladies. Some guys believe body odor in men is normal while others believe it's just gross, some try to mask it with perfume and deodorants while most spend long hours in the bathroom scrubbing every inch but still smell pretty bad when under the scorching sun. 

Well, if you are wondering why you still smell pretty bad no matter how hard you try, then you might want to take a look at your armpit hair. 

Body odor is the result of the multiplication of bacteria when you sweat and the breaking down of sweat into acids by the bacteria which is why you smell.

So how does your armpit hair connect to all these?

When armpits have hair, it slows down the evaporation of sweat, giving the bacteria more time to break sweat down into smelly acids (those smelly acids is body odor). Shaving your armpits regularly would quicken the evaporation of sweat and help control body odor in your armpits. 

So if you want to reduce your body odor, you simply need a shave. 

Here Is How Often You Should Be Shaving Your Armpit Hair

Other measures to control body odor include:

  • Washing your armpits with anti-bacterial soap: Washing regularly helps reduce the number of bacteria in your armpits resulting in less body odor 
  • Use of deodorant: Deodorants make the skin more acidic, making it more difficult for bacteria to thrive. 
  • Clothing: Your clothes can also contribute to your body odor, natural fibers allow your skin to breathe, resulting in a faster evaporation of sweat. Natural-made fibers include wool, silk or cotton. 
  • Wash daily with warm water: A warm bath can help kill off bacteria that are present on your skin. It is recommended that you take a warm bath at least once a day. If you living in areas where the weather is exceptionally hot, like Nigeria, consider bathing more often than once a day. I try to take at least 3 baths per day to keep me smelling fresh and nice.
