Man Who Lied About Cancer To Defraud People of N15m Finally Goes To Jail

Brandon Kiehm is going to jail for taking people's sympathy for the granted.

Kiehm scammed women on Tinder out of $49,000 in part of spinning lies about his family members having cancer.

Kiehm was sentenced last week to two to six years in prison after he pleaded guilty to grand larceny, identity theft, and scheme to defraud. According to the Associated Press, he'll also have to pay out $45,258.56 to four of his victims.

Kiehm used a number of techniques to swindle his Tinder matches, something we call yahoo yahoo in Nigeria. His methods included falsely claiming that his relatives needed money for cancer treatments.

Through this methods, Kiehm was able to swindle about $11,000 from just one of his Tinder matches.

According to the District Attorney Vance,

Kiehm showed no remorse or accountability after this initial indictment, as he continued on his thievish spree. Now, thanks to the dedicated prosecutors in my Office's Financial Frauds Bureau, his thievish spree ends here.

Take me from me guys, if you are looking for love online, you better be extra careful, sometimes the female accounts are being controlled by men and sometimes the male accounts are just looking to dig a big hole in your bank account.

So there you have it.
